Wermland Operas orkester söker:
Pre-round: videoinspelning av 4 orkesterutdrag.
Videon ska spelas in i två tagningar (1. Fagott och 2. Kontrafagott) där man ser hela kroppen och utan klipp eller redigering. Vi ber dig att ladda upp dina videor med hjälp av en tredjepartstjänst som YouTube, Vimeo eller SoundCloud. Spela in orkesterutdragen i samma ordning som de ligger i PDF:en

Vi erbjuder ett omväxlande arbete som musiker i Wermland Operas orkester, vilken med sina 34 heltidsanställda medlemmar ger både orkesterkonserter och opera- och musikalproduktioner. Orkestern ger en egen konsertserie i Karlstad CCC:s konsertsal (om 7-8 konserter/säsong). Stora konsertserien 2025/2026 erbjuder ett varierat program med framstående gästdirigenter och solister. Musikerna i Wermland Operas orkester spelar även ofta i olika kammarmusikkonstellationer och visar en stor bredd då de med lätthet rör sig mellan olika genrer.
Säsongen 2025-2026 flyttar Wermland Opera från sina ordinarie repetitionslokaler på Spinneriet till "Bageriet". Ett nedlagt bageri, som byggts om för Wermland Operas räkning. Invigningskonsert kommer att hållas sent hösten 2025. Detta är också året som Wermland Opera firar 50 år och Jubileumssäsongen kommer att bli extra guldkantad både beträffande repertoar och sceniska framträdanden.

Wermland Opera Orchestra seeks applications for:
Co principal bassoon with duty to play Contrabassoon.
Permanent employment based on a 6-month trial period.
Non-EU citizens will need a valid work and residence permit (this is not required at the time of application).
Application requirements:
- A CV detailing your education, orchestral experience, and other relevant qualifications.
- Pre-round video recording may be required for the first round.
We request that you send a video of yourself performing the following orchestral excerpts for the online pre-round.

The video should be recorded in two takes ( 1. Bassoon, 2. Contrabassoon) with a view of your full body and with no cuts or editing.
We request that you upload your video using a third-party service such as YouTube, Vimeo or SoundCloud.

2 Chamber music pieces in Wind Quintet. (No solo repertoire is included).
The music will be sent in June with the invitation to the test day.
We offer varied work as a musician in Wermland Opera’s Orchestra, which, with its 34 full-time employed members offers both orchestral concerts and opera/musical productions. Every year the orchestra performs its own subscription series of 7-8 concerts at the Karlstad CCC concert hall. The 2025/2026 season will feature a diverse program, with guest appearances by leading conductors and soloists. The musicians of Wermland Opera’s Orchestra also frequently have the opportunity to perform chamber music in a variety of constellations, displaying breadth in their ability to alternate between genres with ease.
In the 2025–2026 season, Wermland Opera will move from its regular rehearsal premises at Spinneriet to “Bageriet” – a former bakery that has been renovated specifically for Wermland Opera. An inaugural concert will be held in late autumn 2025. This is also the year Wermland Opera celebrates its 50th anniversary, and the Jubilee Season will be especially festive, both in terms of repertoire and stage performances.
